Our Values
We believe these are essential to fulfilling our mission.
We believe that all Scripture is inspired by God and serves as the final authority in all matters of belief and behavior. We value Bible-centered preaching and teaching as the foundation for all that we do. Therefore, we want to be a church who lives by God’s Word.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
We believe that prayer is the privilege and responsibility of every Christian, and that God unleashes His power and leading in the lives of those who spend time in prayer. Therefore, we want to be a church that prays without ceasing so that we can draw closer to God, both individually and corporately, and be empowered to do the work of the church.
(Matthew 6:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
We believe that God instructs Christians to cultivate loving relationships as a community of believers. Therefore, we want to be a church that loves God first and foremost, and out of His love we will love others as much as we love ourselves. We will actively pursue relationships characterized by integrity, accountability, service, encouragement, and mutual respect.
(Romans 12:10; 1 John 4:7-11; Mark 12:29-31)
We believe that we are created by God to worship Him, and that glorifying God is the ultimate reason for our existence. Therefore, we want to be a church that praises and worships Him passionately, formally and informally – as individuals and as a local church family.
(John 4: 23-24)
We believe that God instructs Christians to show kindness and care for individuals and families in physical or spiritual need. Compassion is at the heart of our service, guiding us to treat every individual with respect and dignity. Therefore, we want to be a church providing care and support with unwavering empathy and kindness, always seeking to understand and respond to the unique needs of our church family and community.
(James 2:14-17; Galatians 6:1-5)
We believe that every person is important to God, and that He has entrusted believers with the responsibility of sharing the message of Jesus with others. Therefore, we want to be a church that actively shares the message of salvation through Jesus Christ where we live and provide support to those who share the message throughout the world.
(Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20)
We believe that all Christians should daily pursue a growing personal relationship with Christ, and are responsible for becoming more like Christ in their beliefs and conduct. We will provide the tools, resources, and support needed for people to become growing disciples. Therefore, we want to be a disciple-making church actively teaching and equipping individuals to follow and become more like Jesus.
(Ephesians 4:13; Colossians 1:28)
